Egypt Daoud Dean – Italian /Irish/Puerto Rican/African/Jamaican | Alicia Keys’ Daughter

Egypt Daoud Dean is the son of Alicia Keys and hip hop artist-producer Swizz Beatz, who have known each other since they were teenagers. The couple was married in July 2010 in a private ceremony near the Mediterranean Sea. And in October that year, she gave birth to their son, Egypt. Now about 11 years of age, he co-produced the unmastered song untitled 07 on Kendrick Lamar’s album back when he was 5 years old.

A classically trained pianist, Keys started composing songs at age 12 and subsequently signed by Columbia Records at 15. Later on, she signed with Arista Records and released her debut album Songs in A Minor in 2001 with J Records. Commercially and critically successful, the album produced the Keys’ first chart-topping single Fallin on Billboard Hot 100, which sold more than 12 million copies globally, eventually getting credit with five Grammy Awards in 2002. Years later, in 2004, the singer made her second number-one single, My Boo, a duet with another artist, Usher, from her second album, The Diary of Alicia Keys. It also garnered Keys additional Grammy Awards.
